Membership Admission Criteria

To maintain the integrity of the natural health sector in Australia, the Society enforces strict entry requirements. Applicants must provide verified documentation proving their qualifications from an accredited Australian educational institution, hold current professional indemnity insurance, and maintain a valid First Aid certificate. We ensure that every registered practitioner possesses the clinical competency required to safely serve the public.

Professional Qualification Standards

The Society recognizes formal health qualifications that align with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). Approved pathways include:

  • Advanced Diplomas (AQF Level 6)

  • Bachelor Degrees (AQF Level 7)

  • Postgraduate Qualifications (AQF Level 8 and above)

All courses must include comprehensive, supervised face-to-face clinical clinic hours to be considered for full practitioner registration.

Naturopathy

Acupuncture

Continuous Professional Development

Learning never stops for an ASNHP practitioner. All registered members are required to complete annual Continuing Professional Education (CPE) points to maintain their registration. This ensures our practitioners stay at the absolute forefront of natural health research, clinical safety, new treatment methodologies, and practice management.
